Capella Peregrina in Concert

Capella Peregrina presents a diversity of non-conventional musical languages using instruments such as didgeridoo, crystal bowls, derbake, theremin. The ensemble was awarded a “Mecenazgo de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires”, and its project, “Concierto Audiovisual”, was declared of cultural interest for Buenos Aires. With the support of a fellowship from the "Fondo Nacional de las Artes", Capella Peregrina presents multimedia pieces that include contemporary dance, and art works by Argentine artist Eugenio Cuttica. Founded and lead by Gustavo Twardy, the group performed at Museo F. Blanco, Casa Fernández Blanco, Usina del Arte, Museo Nacional Bellas Artes, La Abadía (Latin American Museum), among other places in Buenos Aires. This current tour was declared of Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Argentina.

About Gustavo Twardy

Gustavo Twardy, composer and musical director, founded Capella Peregrina in 2011. He received the “Beca Bicentenario a la Creación” from Fondo Nacional de las Artes to perform his original compositions, filmed with dancers at the atelier of Eugenio Cuttica. He also premiered works with lyrics by the poet and linguist Ivonne Bordelois, with whom he continues working. He studied composition with Eva Lopzsyck and Valdo Sciammarella, and his pieces were interpreted by artists such as Fernanda Morello, José Luis Juri, Eugenia Fuente, José Araujo, among others. He also wrote music for theatre and movies, and was assistant director of the Symphony Orchestra and the UBA Choir and Orchestra, both in Buenos Aires.
