On Deecember 12, 2019, the Embassy of Arentina presented Alexandra Arata’s exhibition, “The Joy in Colors“. This exhibit is the result ofmore than two years of research on the psychology of color and the impact the use of colors have on our emotional well-being. Alexandra has embraced her creative energy to discover the meaning of the 'aesthetics of happiness' and how to surround ourselves with shapes and colors that can increase our motivation and creativity in order to ultimately make us feel better. Using vibrant hues and different techniques when creating her abstract works, the artist invites us to get inspired to live a more colorful life.

About the Artist
Alexandra is an artist, interior architect and entrepreneur. She was born in Córdoba, Argentina and has lived in the Washington metro area since 2002. Alexandra holds a Master's degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the University of Salamanca, Spain, and continued her art studies at the art school of Glen Echo and Corcoran School of Art. Alexandra has exhibited at multiple shows and galleries both in the United States and abroad. Her works are part of private collections in many countries (Andorra, Argentina, Germany,  Peru, Spain, the United Kingdom and Uruguay). One of her paintings was recently selected and acquired for an office at the White House in Washington, D.C. Alexandra currently balances her time between painting and restoring historic properties.
