From October 19 to November 9, 2022 the Embassy of Argentina and the Ibero-American Cultural Association (AACIA) hosted four weeklyTango classes.

This four week introduction to Argentine Tango, was the perfect way to dive into this beautiful and complex dance. Working with classic tango figures and vocabulary, participants learned the basics of tango technique, musicality and lead/follow improvisation.

Masha and Aja have been serving the DC and global tango community as teachers, performers, and event organizers for conjointly 20 years. They offer tango instruction for dancers of all levels, backgrounds and identities.

Yves René encourages students to explore both roles on their tango journey to provide a rich understanding of the tango connection. After teaching extensively in Boston since 2015, he moved to DC in 2020 and is thrilled to be part of such a vibrant and growing tango hub.
