On July 11th, the Embassy of Argentina hosted an online concert by the guitar duo Mielgo-Villanueva as part of the Embassy of Argentina Online Culture Program which presented a short selection of folk music from our country. Samy Mielgo and Marcelo Villanueva created this duo in 2015 after several presentations with the Seminario Internacional Teológico Bautista Choir (SITB). 

In 2017 both guitarists performed for the first time at the Embassy of Argentina and they also toured in the United States as part of the SITB Ensamble Vocal and Instrumental. That same year they recorded pieces for Marcelo Villanueva’s third album, “Bocetos del alma”. 

They performed at the Teatro Colón in Argentina, among other venues. Their repertoire covers different genres of music from Argentina and Latin America, and both play traditional music and their own compositions.
