ANALYST
ECONOMY & TRADE SECTION, EMBASSY OF ARGENTINA IN THE UNITED STATES
The person occupying this position will support the Economy & Trade team’s activities at the Embassy of Argentina, including providing assistance to diplomatic officials in preparing research material for meetings, performing administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, establishing contacts with importers, business and professional organizations, preparing market analysis, writing economic and trade reports and presentations, database administration and event organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Authorized to work legally in the United States
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to set priorities
Duties:
- Analysis of economic and trade reports
- Assist in product and market analysis
- Contact importers and keep track of established contacts
- Create and manage databases
- Provide support in organizing diverse activities related to visits by Argentine authorities (meetings, trade fairs, conferences, presentations).
- Review United States economic and trade policies that cou8ld impact the Argentine economy
- Write reports, articles, and other types of communication.
- Assist in establishing working relationships with government officials, companies and professional associations in the United States, to help achieve the objectives the public and private sectors in Argentina.
- Organize and disseminate information about participation in trade fairs and exhibitions, as well as other promotional events.
- Plan section-related events.
- Carry out research and prepare written material on various topics for the meetings.
- Create PowerPoint presentations and graphs.
