On Feburary 28th, 2020 the Embassy of Argentina presented the Emma Tango Trio, led by Argentine accordionist and composer Emmanuel Trifilio, with Zoë Jorgensen on bass and Estrella Huang on piano, through a concert with pieces from the trio’s album, “Buena Suerte”, as well as classics from the tango repertoire, including works by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Salgan.
Emmanuel Trifilio, was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he privately studied bandoneon. After touring across South America and Europe, he is now based in Washington, D.C. In 2014 he performed as soloist at Kennedy Center Concert Hall and at Lincoln Center as well as across the United States.
