From October 16th until November 9th, 2018 the Embassy of Argentina presented the art exhibition, "Parallel Universes" by Nora Cherñajovsky, curated by Alfredo Ratinoff.

"For this exhibition at the Embassy of Argentina in Washington, DC, I felt compelled to establish a contrast between my paintings and elements of the neoclassical architecture of the room, with its oval shape and the decorative boiserie on the walls. In this work, I investigate the polarities and contradictions between the order of the architectural and the chaos of the organic. From this objective I present seven pictorial universes which break with the perception of classical order and harmony with their fragmented, geometric forms. The strident and varied colors were also chosen to generate an opposition to the pastel color of the room. In turn, the painting with its drippings poses another formal break, aiming at going beyond the edges. Each polyptych proposes a personal game to project one's own universes through circles, rectangles, and triangles that dance between the limits of space."
