"Close to the Edge", paintings by Andrea Fried, Luciana Levinton y Guigui Kohon

Between April 3rd and May 31st, the Embassy of Argentina presented "Close to the edge" featuring the works of Andrea Fried, Guigui Kohon and Luciana Levinton. A hasty look could indicate three very different ways of approaching painting. However, the vehement insistence of leaving the frame, pushing the limits of the canvas bring these three artists together. It is not by chance that the three liberate the work of a specific plan. There are no sketches. The starting point is an idea that will navigate free through the canvas finding courses and channels and will overflow the margins.

"Close to the edge" - thus the title of the exhibition - leads us to reflect on this playful space of roaming and exploring the borders. Locus of beauty as much as agitation.

Approaching the works of these three artists is perhaps recognizing that we can exist in the boundaries.
