Diplomatic, Official and Courtesy Visas

Please note that the following documents must be physically submitted to this Embassy:

  • Diplomatic, Official, Service, or Regular passport, or travel document issued by an international organization (e.g., UNLP, OAS)
  • Completed and signed Diplomatic/Official/Courtesy visa application form (all fields must be filled out; signatures may be ink or electronic), according to passport type:
    • Diplomatic passport: Diplomatic visa
    • Official/Service passports or international organization travel documents: Official visa
    • Regular passport: Courtesy visa

                      Please find each visa application form below.

  • One photocopy of the passport (information page only)
  • One passport-type photograph (2x2 inches, front-facing, white background)
  • Letter from the U.S. Department of State-Visa Office, or the corresponding Embassy or international organization, outlining the purpose, dates and details of the mission or trip

Please ensure that all documents are submitted together to avoid processing delays. Visas are usually issued within a week from the drop-off time.

In the case of officials being appointed to Buenos Aires, a Verbal Note must first be submitted to the Dirección Nacional de Ceremonial of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic. Visa processing at this Embassy will begin once the corresponding notification has been received.
