Contrary to what we were taught, and most believed for centuries, there is no major clear or defining differences between what traditionally has been called “creative” and “non-creative” people. In fact, we are all born with quite similar characteristics. There are differences though in how each person approaches different issues. We could say that while we are all creative, our interests, convictions, external influences and education make us all different types of creatives.

Why is so important to work out and develop our creative strengths today? Simply because our society and our world is going through a paradigmatic transformation. Technology, the sustainability imperative, and globalization, amongst many changes, are pushing us to leave behind the times of the “Me” society of the XX Century while forcing us to rethink our relationship and social responsibilities as businesses, governments and individuals.

Understanding the dynamics involved in the creative process, learning to see how everything connects with everything else (which is the basis of all highly creative mindsets) not only provides tools and enlightenment, it is a way through which each individual can find the inspiration, the enjoyment, and ultimately the empowerment that will help them change our world, one action at a time.

From neurosciences to quantum mechanics, mathematics and simple dynamics, to philosophy, business strategies, and faith, we will endeavor to question old rules and realities, and offer tools that will allow us to be more effective at finding creative solutions and reaching innovative results.

From students to people in positions of leadership -and everyone in between-, these lectures are intended to help us question the given facts, look for novel ideas, find our hidden talents and strengths, reinforce our social and relational capabilities, and ultimately provide us with tools which will allow us to be more productive and work and deal better with others.

The end result should be that of making our lives more fulfilling and our endeavors more successful because, instead of simply thinking about what will suit  “me” -the lonely individual-, we will come to understand that the whole creative process – as life itself-  is also heavily influenced by what is better for “us” -the whole of society and the planet that sustains us-.
