The guitar duo Mielgo-Villanueva will perform at the Embassy of Argentina with a program of tangos and folk music from Argentina. Samy Mielgo and Marcelo Villanueva created this duo in 2015 after several presentations with the Seminario Internacional Teológico Bautista Choir (SITB). In 2017 both guitarists were part of the SITB Ensamble Vocal e Instrumental and toured different cities in the United States as well as in Argentina. That same year they recorded pieces for Marcelo Villanueva’s third album, “Bocetos del alma”. They also performed at the Teatro Colón in Argentina, among other venues. Their repertoire covers different genres of music from Argentina and Latin America, and both play traditional music and also their own compositions.
