Pride Month is a unique opportunity to commemorate the history of the LGBTI movement, take stock of the progress made in recent years, and recognize what still needs to be done in the fight for equality.

As we round up a very unusual Pride Month, one where the pandemic has kept us physically distanced yet connected thanks to modern technology, protecting and promoting the rights of LGBTI people at home and abroad remains as critical a task as ever.

The Equal Rights Coalition (ERC), an intergovernmental body of 42 member states, was launched four years ago with the goal of advancing the human rights of LGBTI persons and promoting inclusive development in both member and non-member countries through engagement with civil society organizations and multilateral agencies.
Argentina and the UK are the current co-chairs of the ERC. Join the Argentine and British Embassies, in partnership with the Council for Global Equality,  on June 29 for a discussion on LGBTI Rights and the Equal Rights Coalition.

Speakers:

Jorge Argüello
Argentine Ambassador to the United States

Karen Pierce
British Ambassador to the United States

Scott Busby
Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary
Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights & Labor
US State Department

Moderated by:

Mark Bromley
Chair of Council for Global Equality

After registering, you will receive an email the day before the event with the link to join the webinar.
