NETWORK OF ARGENTINE SCIENTISTS NORTHEAST OF THE USA

The Network of Argentine Scientists in the East Cost of the United States is made up of Argentine scientists, researchers and academics who reside temporarily or permanently in this country.

Its objectives are to encourage communication among Argentine professionals living in France and to foster contacts with local and Argentine universities and institutions.

The organizational structure of Raíces NE-USA consists of the following bodies:

a. Scientific Coordinator ("Chair");

b. Technical Coordinator ("Deputy Chair");

c. Scientific Committee ("Executive Committee").

d. Advisory Committee (of Emeritus Scientific Coordinators)

The Scientific Coordinator represents all the members of the Network, the Technical Coordinator is responsible for the operational organization.

On September 22, 2022, the new authorities of the Network were elected through a vote open to all its members and its statute was also modified.

Scientific Coordinator: Horacio Rotstein

Horacio G. Rotstein is a professor of mathematical biology and computational neuroscience at the Federated Department of Biological Sciences of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers University, a corresponding researcher at Conicet and maintains affiliations with other scientific institutions in the USA. His main areas of research are the study of mechanisms of generation of neural oscillations and in biological systems, connectivity inference in neural networks and the study of identifiability in the relationship between mathematical models and experimental and observational data.
